The Town of Swampscott has declared a snow emergency in effect at 2 PM Tuesday, February 1st, continuing through a time to be determined, mid-day on Thursday February 3rd.
As usual, the snow emergency will remain in effect even after the snow ceases to fall, so that the Department of Public Works can complete their snow removal operations.
Please remember that during the snow emergency a parking ban is also in effect and vehicles must be totally removed from Town streets and sidewalks or you may risk your vehicle being ticketed and towed.
Also, curbside trash and recycling collection will be moved back one day. Wednesday pick-up will be on Thursday, Thursday pick-up will be on Friday, and Friday’s pick-up will be on Saturday.
