INTRODUCTION
Chapter One

                                                                          INTRODUCTION

Section 1.        The Town of Swampscott, pursuant to the provisions of Article LXXXIX

 of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Chapter 43B of the General Laws of Massachusetts, adopts this Charter.

Section 2.        The effective date of this Charter shall be July 1, 1969.
